Bag Crush: Proenza Schouler PS1
Mary-Kate and Ashley are among the numerous fans of this simple and understated messenger. I have seen this bag all over the fashion-blogo-sphere but I hadn't had the opportunity to see it up close and personal because it was unavailable in UK until quite recently. The initial attraction to the PS1 was the layering of the flaps, a very simple yet effective design which makes this bag stand out without being pretentious which tends to be the case. In my opinion, people who carry bags with the label plastered all over the bag don't really appreciate their bag and the designers, they carry it as a sign of status which I feel exploits a brand and cheapens it. This bag is a prime example of great design which exudes style of the highest form balanced by the uber-cool understated luxury it is.
This bag will stand the test of time just like the Chanel 2.55 which will always remain on my "Favourites" List.

Vintage archives at its best. This dress was first seen on the cover of Vogue in 1992, it rocked the world then, and its rocking the world now. This all black ensemble is utterly understated and is oozing with glamour and elegance. Who ever frowned upon flashing flesh has obviously never seen this.

The Beginning
Yep I look like an idiot - best way to give a memorable impression
P.S. I automatically (more often than not) love pictures where people smile, but maybe its because I can't pull off that :| look which models can do because I just look moody when I attempt to look as cool as them.
P.P.S. I have a tiny student budget and a wardrobe to match, which is reflective of most students so you will see an item appear on my blog DEFINITELY more than once. Some think its cheap or whatever but the reality for the majority of us is that we can't afford to buy a whole new outfit for every single day of the year. I tend to stalk for and buy clothes which can stand the test of time and of course have the all important "wow!" or "mmmmm!" or "OMG!" factor and so obviously will spend more on Jackets, Coats, Shoes and HANDBAGS, as for apparel, I buy from the high street or budget shops because they tend to take inspiration from the Fashion Houses such as Chanel, Alexander Wang, Mui Mui etc....
P.P.P.S. You will notice very shortly that I have an obsession with black which I am trying to (OMG WHAT IS THAT WORD FOR TO BECOME UN-ADDICTED?! - yeah that word). Maybe one day you'll see me in a highlighter yellow ensemble... one day...
