This is one of those photo shoots where it isn't just an instrument to sell clothes but also provoke feelings of awe when you stare at this work of art.
It is highly coincidental that I stumbled across this today because when I was on the bus, I picked up the free news paper and there was an article about the monobrow. In the modern culture, a monobrow is considered a sign of neglect of a beauty regime. However, in Tajikistan, girls use the juice of a local herb, usma, to paint a line joining their brows, to make them ‘beautiful, like the partridge’.
I learn something new every day.
